Sky-Dancing Tantra: Celebrating the Heart of Sexuality

(upcoming classes - watch this space for further details!)
The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.
-Buddha

By acknowledging our sexual energy as part and parcel of the very Energy of life, Sky-Dancing Tantra is a path with heart that calls us to love not just our partners, but ourselves as well… all of ourselves. My own coming into acceptance and celebration of this fact has been the most challenging, life-affirming and love-positive practice I've ever engaged in. And one of the main things I’m continually learning in the process is the primacy of the heart, and the need to FLOW.

When we practice opening to our feelings, we quickly become aware that we carry a lot of feelings that don’t feel so “good”. For many of us, our sexual history is a minefield of hurts and humiliations that we’d sooner forget than feel. Intimacy (“into me see”) with a partner requires, first and foremost, that we come to peace with our own physical and emotional life. To expect our partner to make us feel good under all conditions is a time-proven formula for failure.

And yet, we have the opportunity with our beloved to free up the flow of feelings and hurts and discover our open, natural state of “what is”. As Margot Anand says, "Hiding gives strength to negative feelings; sharing in an atmosphere of sincerity and trust dissipates their power. Moreover, when you connect with a partner who is truthfully expressing deep feelings, more energy becomes available as a bond of authenticity develops between you." The Art of Sexual Ecstasy, p. 83

As Diana and I prepare our classes and workshops for this February in Tucson and Prescott Arizona, we are especially excited to share with you the simple but profound practice of essence - of living from the heart. How is it, exactly, that we can only find ourselves when we lose ourselves? Is it really possible to cease defending who we think we are, and just what does that look like, anyway? And what does any of this have to do with sexuality?

Yes, there is deep breathing involved...

If you're in the Tucson area, mark your calendars for January 23rd and 24th for our "Divine Juiciness" weekend, a chance to discover and work with (ie, play with) the basic tools of intimate communication.

We'll be in Prescott for the Valentine's weekend, speaking our Hearts, and invite you to join us, wherever you may live.

Details later this week!

Namaste y'all!
